Terms and conditions
Quotations will be valid for one Month, excluding allowance for any unexpected fuel cost increases, which may be subject to an added fuel surcharge.
As per private taxi hire guidelines, to secure any booking, payment will be required in advance. Via bank transfer, credit/debit card or cash. Unless previously agreed, payment terms will be stated on an invoice sent via email to the bookers email address.
Bank details for payment are as follows: Maggs Travel Ltd Mettle Bank Sort Code 04-03-33 Account number 74860853.
When transportation has been agreed, we will send you a written confirmation of the transfer and all the booking details via email. It is the bookers responsibility to make sure all the details are correct and inform us of any changes, errors or missing information. We ask every booker to read and agree to our T & C’s. If we don’t get a response we will make the assumption that terms have been agreed, and cannot be held responsible or liable for any errors or mistakes made within the booking details.
We will also send a sales invoice via email for payment, with the details of transfer. The booking will only be confirmed on receipt of cleared funds.
We can’t be held responsible for any emails undelivered due to spam/junk/virus filters or any other technical issues of non email delivery, that are out of our control.
Cancellation
Cancellations up to 48 hours notice before the time and date of transfer. We can reserve the right to retain or charge 25% of the total transfer costs quoted. If cancellation notice is received less than 24 hours before the booking, or a no show event. Then we reserved the right to charge or retain 100% of the total booking costs. If you wish to make an insurance claim, we are more than happy to supply your insurance company written details.
Journey changes / Variations
We will always try to accommodate any changes made to the original booking, but cannot guarantee it will be possible, due to time and logistics on the day. Extra travel time and mileage will be calculated and additional costs will be charged accordingly from our taxi price guide.
Passenger responsibilities
Firstly we will not carry more passengers than the vehicle is licensed for.
You must inform us of any excess luggage requirement at the time of booking. We cannot be held responsible for additional luggage over the car or minibus’s standard load capacity. Always check with us before at the time of booking or before the date of travel.
Customers' property is always carried at their own risk, we cannot be held liable for any damage or loss, whilst in transport. Also our insurance company will not cover any injury, loss or damage that is deemed to be caused by passenger negligence.
Child seats supply.
We always recommend that parents/guardians provide their own child seat if required. The fitting of the child seat correctly is the responsibility of the aforementioned parent / guardian.
We are not allowed to provide or assist in the fitting of child restraints or seats. It is the entire responsibility of the parent / guardian to make sure that any children within their care are secured correctly and safely. In the event of any accident, the parent/guardian accepts total responsibility.
Personal child seats can be stored upon request, if required for a return journey.
Soiling damage to the vehicle
We do not allow the consumption of food or drink, whilst in transit. The driver will stop at a safe location if requested and time allows.
In the event of any spillages, sickness and or soiling of the vehicle. The cost of valeting and cleaning of the vehicle is charged at a minimum of £150. Which must be paid at the time of the event to the driver.
We reserve the right to terminate the transfer, at the whole discretion of the driver. In the event of any abusive, inappropriate behavior. The driver will have total control of the decision and will endeavor to leave the passenger/s in a safe place to organise alternative transport to their location.
Transport Delays
We cannot accept any financial responsibility for any unforeseen delays to your transport. That may result in the missing of any onward travel plans, like trains, flights and or any other appointments.
In the very unlikely event of a breakdown of the vehicle, the driver will always organise, as quickly as possible, alternative transport to your destination.
We will always recommend contingency time, for the unexpected traffic, or event, before you travel. If you request your own timings, over and above our recommendation, we can’t be responsible for any late arrival.
Complaints
We will always endeavor to provide the best service available to our customers. If however you feel the need to make a complaint, we are more than happy to hear this to improve our service further.
In the first instance please email us so that we can investigate and solve any problems as soon as possible.

Maggs Travel Ltd will only send marketing emails and contact you for promotional purposes if you have signed up to a mailing list or otherwise asked to be kept informed. You can ask for access to the information we have on you, and update it if it is out of date or you want us to remove it altogether. If you’d like to see what information we have about you, or if you want it updated or removed then please contact us.

The majority of personal information is stored on our systems in the UK. But there may be a rare occasion where your information may leave the UK such as if it’s stored in a system outside of the EU.
